My previous blog entry must have let those around me worried and wondering what had happened to cause such strong msg across. Well, dun wish to elaborate that anymore. It's over already and now just slowly "recovering" from the "aftershocks".
Caught a movie last night with Dearie. Watched "Quantum of Solace" at PS. I didn't watch the first Daniel Craig's James Bond movie and thus I didn't really know the story to begin with. Well, if you are looking for good action and excitement with the bombing and shooting, it will be one of the movies to catch. As what the reviewers have been saying on the radio etc., Daniel Craig really portrayed the emotional side of Bond and had done a great job in that.
Went to Furama Riverfront's Wedding show this afternoon. Hehe... we have signed up to hold our customary dinner there. Dearie said he will be willing to sign up if we can get the Director to continue to be our coordinator. Dearie is comfortable with the Director as he was the one who had coordinated for us during our ROM as well. I emailed prior to the wedding show to Albert, the Director, and he was more than happy to assist us with our queries. The wedding show was from 12pm to 5pm and we took a cab there cos I was afraid to be late for the show. Woke up early today but I took rather long to get ready.
Reached the place and they were still getting ready for the crowd to come in. Albert was attending to his guests but managed to come over and attend to us very fast. Gone thru the whole thingy with us and threw in some extra perks. I didn't really have to negotiate much as most of the items were included and also, I trust that Albert will be able to give us more later on. Afterall, he did threw in extra things during our ROM without us knowing. Hehe...
It was less than 10 mins of talk and we signed up to have the dinner there. As the date will be in 2010, we could leave a lot of details to be discussed at a later date. We will still need to go down again when the contract is done. Not in a rush la... that can slowly wait till next year. Have used up all my leave for this yr and only left 1 day liao. :P
Walked around the place and took some photos. Loved some of the themes that they have displayed. But really too early for us to choose now. There will be new themes next year and who knows, in 2010 too. At least we have a feel of how it's going to be and can trust that Furama Riverfront will be able to do a good job for us. Stayed and caught the wedding show. The bridal studio there is Yvonne Creative, the BS that we have signed up with earlier this year. They were the ones who had done my make-up, gown and bouquet during my ROM. They were showing 2009 wedding gowns and there were a couple that looked very very very very nice!! Loved those gowns... I was telling Dearie that I loved this gown, that gown, this gown, that gown. All looked so so lovely. Yvonne has really done a good job and can see it's not easy to put the gowns together as each gown has it's own details to see to.
Went up to take a look at the bridal suite also. Took some pics and I loved the towel-made swans! special and nice lor! wish I could bring them home... special. I have seen people folding towels into other shapes but swans... first time! They used orchids to decorate and the little parts of the orchids as eyes of the swans. innovative to me... still think they are good in folding them into that.
Was supposed to meet Jayne at Orchard to go Metro for shopping but she wasn't feeling well and so... me and Dearie went to Queensway Ikea instead. The place has renovated and although some of the parts are still under renovation, the place looked much better than Tampines Ikea. Probably because I can see a lot of demo places around which they were nice and homely concepts to be adapted. Saw the wardrobes and they were nice with sliding doors and mirrors. The wardrobes could be customised and made accordingly to what you want to have in it. Ikea has improved in its products along the way and no wonder so many people like to buy things from there. We bought some photo frames to put our ROM pics and when I was back at Dearie's place, I realised that I should have bought more. Forgot to buy more... have to go back there again. Probably during the weekdays ba. Wahaha...
Moving slowly towards preparing for our customary. Our photographer shared with us at the wedding show that we should be selecting our gowns during May or June next year so that we will be in time for the wedding shots. 2010 seems far but hearing his advice, it seems so fast! Haha... I saw a few wedding favours that were super nice and sweet as well. Both of us like them a lot. Understand that they will have new designs every 3 - 6 mths. By the time it's for us to choose, should have really nice ones liao. Just like our ROM wedding favours. Also saw wedding cards. Lovely... hehe... now with the place confirmed, we won't have to rush in search of places to hold the customary dinner and could slowly plan for the rest. Oh ya... did I mention that our lovenest has started its constructions? Hehe... slowly slowly falling into places. With one thing down, we can take our time to source and think about other things. Taking baby steps slowly and growing up together as one as days go by...
