Continuing on Moo Moo Year…

3rd day of CNY, Dearie came over to my place and stayed quite long. We wanted to go over to Irene’s place at 2+pm but she was out seeing doc. Both of us had to wait till she was back and only left my place at 7pm. Poor Dearie got to be at my place for many hours lor. I asked him to bring me out to walk walk at Sembawang Shopping Centre but he dun wan. Said he will bring me there on other days. I wonder when that will be. We shall wait and see ba…

Took 2 pics when we were on our way out.

Dearie happened to be drinking water and was not in time to smile. He said he didn’t like this pic but IMO, he was very cute lor. Anyone agree with me? :)

Mum cooked dinner for us and we ate before heading over to Irene’s place. Passed her some of the clothing that I have bought for little Ethan. Little Ethan really looked like Zhiwei, Irene’s hubby. Got his trait mark. hehe… I didn’t manage to take any pics of him cos when I was over there, Little Ethan was sleeping. Also didn’t manage to play with Timid as my focus was to sayang the baby before playing with him. Dearie looked on when I was touching Ethan’s head, feeling his hair. He jokingly said next time we give birth to one and I can like that sayang too. Haha… I scared pain lor… somemore, it’s really hard to bring up a kid nowadays. Shall let nature takes its course ba.

Back to office today. Everyone was wishing one another Happy CNY, wearing bright coloured clothing, exchanging well wishes. We had lion dance in office today and I brought my camera along to capture the lion dance, going around the office, moving from workstation to workstation. Oh gosh… it was really tiring. I felt like I am paparazzi for the day! This was becos, I kept shooting away, trying my best to capture the movements of the lions and put them into good shots. Guess how many pics I took? over 180 lor!!! Haha… mad le ya? How come I could take so much pics? I was joking with my colleagues that I am going to charge them $$ for some of the shots. Cos I took some nice shots of the lion on their workstation etc. For one of my BU Heads, I told him I am going to charge him $168. Haha… Times are bad. Not a bad idea to earn some extra ya? :P

The photo shooting for today made me exhausted and tired. Felt that I had no energy for the rest of the day already. Was looking nice nice in the morning but after the shooting, I looked in a mess and was perspiring lor. During the evening time when I met Yvonne, she said my hair was different from the pic which I took in the morning. LOL… the results of being a paparazzi… Anyway, here are some of the pics I took today. Will be posting them in my Facebook. Once uploaded, I will put the links up. Meanwhile, enjoy…

My Moo Moo Year…
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 @ at

First day of CNY, Dearie came over with his family to fetch me to Da Yee’s place @ Yishun. Stayed there to greet the aunties and uncles a Happy CNY! Didn’t know what to do after the visitation and thus… while at Da Yee’s place, we flipped the papers and decided to go for movie. Called Fiona and she was ok to watch the movie with us together with her bf, Edmund. Robin decided to rest for the day and as it was his bday also, he went along with us to the movie.

Was trying super hard to book tickets for “All’s Well End’s Well” but the timing for the movie was either too late or the theatre did not have any good seats left. Asked Dearie whether it’s ok for us to watch “The Wedding Game”  instead. He was not very keen in local production but well, there wasn’t any other shows and so, Dearie gave in to me lor. Hehe…

There wasn’t any internet connection available at Da Yee’s place and I couldn’t find anyone to help me to book the tickets. I used WAP service to book. Surfing the websites here and there. I wonder how much is SingTel going to charge me lor. Even though we got savings for the tickets as we used GV Card, the booking process might cost me a lot. Nvm ba… once a year only. :)

Booked the movie @ GV Plaza. The day before, we just went there with Robin too. Ate Thai Express and after that, met Fiona and Edmund and watched the movie. The movie was not that fantastic. Hmm… some scenes were a bit funny but well, so so only. Both Dearie and Robin said the movie was not nice and almost fell asleep. IMO, not worth the money too. Never watch, never know ma. Anyway, CNY… nothing to do also besides the visiting etc.

After movie, we headed over to Fiona’s place to play Mahjong. Dearie didn’t want to go with us and so, he went home alone. Robin went with us and I also called Yvonne to join us. Super long never play liao lor. We started playing @ 11pm and didn’t leave her place till 5+am. Wahaha… Last year also like tat… played from late afternoon till dawn. Power! Both me and Edmund won but I used my earnings to give Robin as cab fare to send me home. :)

Slept at abt 6.30am and up at abt 9+am / 10am. Got ready and headed over to Dearie’s place. Today had to go to his Granny’s place for visitation. Ate lunch at his place and after that, went over to my Granny’s place. Talked to my 3rd Auntie’s husband abt our housing and some children upbringing matters. Told the rest of my aunties when we are holding our customary wedding also. After that, met Fiona and Edmund again. Have booked “All’s Well End’s Well” before i went to sleep awhile in the morning. Cathay’s website had some technical glitch and we were not able to book the seats at all. When I tried at 6+, the whole theatre were empty and we have all the option to book whatever seats we want. WAhaha…

The movie was funny but I think the story was incomplete somehow. There seems to be some missing parts. Fiona felt the same way as well. We all think that the previous versions were much better with Stephen Chow and Leslie + other stars. At least it was more complete and was funnier on it’s own. But if u ask me to compare the 2 movies I caught, of cos what we caught today is much better.

Not going back to work tomorrow cos both me and Dearie took leave. Office won’t have anyone also cos a lot of them are on “Forced” Leave. Go back also nothing to do and time might pass by super slowly! Dearie will be coming over to my place for visitation tomorrow. After that, we will be going over to Irene’s place to visit her and also, see Baby Ethan. Yippee!!! I will get to see Timid again! Hehe… Happy!!! Dun intend to stay out too late tomorrow cos Thursday got to go back to work liao. Before I go, let me post my look on the 2nd day of CNY. Hehe… didn’t manage to take any pics at all cos… 1st day, I thot my camera got batt but, it went flat on me. Couldn’t take any pics at all… 2nd day… no one in the mood of taking pics? Told Dearie I want to take with him but… no opportunity??? So, I take myself la… I dolled up nice nice leh… what do u all think? Pics taken when I abt to reach home and when home. Any comments? :P

Rattling, rattling, rattling…
Saturday, January 24, 2009 @ at

Didn’t blog for the past few days. Wanted to but became lazy. Dearie was supposed to go for his RT on Wed but end up, he met me instead. We went to Boon Lay and spent our evening at Jurong Point. Heard that the new extension was open already and didn’t have a chance to go and take a look at the place. Dearie was asking me to think of where to go and I thot… why not go Jurong Point and take a look? He has lessons on Thurs and the place is near to his place also… Dun wan my Dearie to be too tired since next day got class.

The place was big! Kinda like another Vivocity. When we reached the place, we decided to go for dinner first. Couldn’t decide on what to eat and was looking at the directory of the place. They have quite a lot of food places at the new extension itself. We decided to settle for Old Town instead. Tried the place before @ Bukit Timah area with Jayne and Albert before. Dearie missed the nasi lemak and had craving for it. Headed over and well… service was so so only. Had to wait a while to be served. There were staff around but they didn’t come to serve us promptly. Some could see us but they opt to be doing other things rather than coming to show us to our seats. Funny staff.

Anyway, Dearie ate his nasi lemak while I tried their nasi rendang. It was stated as recommended dish on the menu. Not bad… quite nice… a lot of gravy on the chicken meat. Took some pics. Pardon me if the food dun look that appealing ya. :P

21012009008 21012009006 21012009007 21012009009 21012009010 21012009013

After dinner, went around shopping. The NTUC over there opens 24 hours and could see families going shopping for CNY goodies after their dinner. Dearie bought a HP to be used during his RT and reservist. Quite cheap and a good deal cos no need to sign plan and the phone was abt $90. SAmsung model… quite light also. The package came with free earpiece too. :)

Continued walking around and went to OP. Bought Dearie some CNY clothes. Wan him to look nice nice for CNY ma. Hehe… I also bought some taiwan mua chee and jellies for his family. Wanted to get things from John Little but the place was filled with people. Queues super long at the cashiers! Gave up the idea and went walk walk a while more before calling it a day and headed home.

Met Shan on Thursday. She came back from her honeymoon already. Had dinner @ Coffee Club @ Siglap. Talked abt her marriage life and was glad that she is happily married. Could see her glowing with happiness. Happy for her! Afterwich, went to meet her hubby and gone along with them to pass some CNY goodies to their relatives and Shan’s parents. Was talking to Shan’s Dad abt the Budget 2009 and also some of their staffing matters. Reached home at abt 11+. It was definitely nice to see Shan again and I am looking forward to be able to see her more!

Friday… went to catch a movie with Dearie, Sharon and Joseph. Went to Cathay to watch “Ink Heart”. Nice and touching movie. Some said the movie is not nice but IMO, it’s not that bad as what they claimed. Worth the watch!

After the movie, we went to Geylang to eat our late dinner cum supper. Had Dim sum at Ho Kee Pau. Sharon and Joseph wanted to bring us to another stall but it was closed for CNY. Heard that it’s very nice. Well… perhaps could try it next time ba. After the makan, both of them gave me and Dearie a ride back. I stayed over at Dearie’s place that night.

Today… after waiting for Dearie to finish helping out on the housework, we went out to a few places with Robin, Dearie’s 2nd bro. He wanted to do specs and so we brought him to the shop @ Queensway shopping centre. I know the lady boss there and have been doing specs and buying contact lens from her many times. Both Dearie and myself have different tastes and opinions and Robin couldn’t decide on which frame to pick. We came to a consensus on one and Robin has to wait for a week plus due to CNY.

After that, we headed over to PS. There wasn’t much people on the road. I wondered where have all the people gone to. Had our dinner @ Swensens and went walking around. Robin bought some CNY clothings and Dearie also got 1 new top. He didn’t want to get one but … haha… he didn’t have much choice. Mother had bought a shirt for Robin but he couldn’t fit into it. Had to go for exchange and the top that Robin picked… value was below and we had to get another clothing to make up the difference. Robin couldn’t set his eyes on other clothes and told Dearie to get instead. I helped to pick the shirt! hehe… :P

Robin sent us home and I have Dearie sleeping while I am here blogging online. I think I am not making any sense in my blogging liao. Dunno what I am typing. Hmm… I not that tired yet but with Dearie sleeping beside me, he is making me sleepy lor. Tomorrow is CNY eve le. Dearie will be having dinner at my place before heading home. My bro’s daughter, AKA my niece, Seraphina, will be coming over to makan with us. It will be the first time that Dearie will be seeing her. So fast… she is going to be 4 this year. Took some pics of her abt a week plus ago when she came over. Dun she look like my bro?

few more days to CNY… not much mood though. Saw a lot of people on the streets, carrying CNY goodies, paper bags of clothes, etc. Well, does not seem like people are worried abt the economic downturn. In any case, Chinese still want to spend CNY in style ya?

Went to attend Feng shui talk by Lynn Yap @ Safra Toa Payoh on Sat with Collin, Fiona and Iris. Met Edmund, Fiona’s BF, Dearie and Yvonne for dinner. While waiting for them, heeded Lynn Yap’s advice and went to buy red clothes. Hahah… Do you know that for CNY, once you wash those clothes, even though you have yet to wear them, they are considered worn and not new le… Advice will be to wear red colored clothes for 1st day of CNY… at least for 2 hours and also on 4 Feb, to start yourself with a good CNY. Seldom listen to those but well… no harm trying out for this Moo Moo year ya?

Bought 3 tops from Bossini. Had steamboat buffet and dessert at the shophouses behind Bugis Junction. Walked around a while before heading back to Dearie’s place. Got Reunion Lunch the next day. Went to Hilltop Restaurant to eat. Was super full and couldn’t eat dinner at all. Tummy felt bloated the whole day…

Monday, took half day and went to Furama Riverfront to sign the contract for our customary wedding. One major thing off our mind… afterwich, we went to Orchard to walk walk. Didn’t have any idea on where to head to. Stayed at Orchard only for 1 hour plus and then headed home. Nothing to buy or shop though. Wasn’t feeling that well cos woke up with headache. Weather very hot… didn’t feel good lor…

Today… went to do eyelashes extension with Roxance. yes… you didn’t read me wrongly. I went to do it again. Was reading some forums and came across postings raving abt the person doing it. Decided to give it another try. Told Dearie I wan to look nice nice for him this CNY so he will have “face”. Guess what he told me? Said no need lor… he dun need me to give him “face”. Fainted... thot that guys will feel good when their girls dressed up for them. My Dearie is different ya? Anyway… dun care. WEnt to do it. This time round was so much better than my previous one. Definitely more natural, softer and lighter. Now I know already. The last I did was known as cluster whereby this time round, it’s by strand. Although more expensive, but it’s worth the money IMO. Too bad my lashes were kinda spoilt during the last time when I did the extension. Dun think it’s that pretty as Roxance’s one. I love her lashes. Nice and pretty and curly and long lor… Well, I got 1 free touch up. Decide that after my lashes drop off, will let it rest and maybe go utilise my entitlement in May. Hopefully my lashes will be nice nice le. Just have to top up with a bit more to re-do again. Wahaha… :)

Cutie Cutie!
Saturday, January 17, 2009 @ at

Went out with Dearie to Suntec today. Ate dinner at Swensens and was walking around. Went to Level 3 and came across a creative and cutie shop. Hehe… inside sells a lot of little clay models, got babies, animals, little deities, wedding couples, etc. The displays looked very nice and cute lor! There were signs around to forbid photos taking. I was attracted to what I saw and decided to get 1. Well, U can play with creativity here cos you can choose what you want to put together. Could be either on a bench, see saw, grass patch, car, scooter, sea shell, etc. Ideal as presents / gift to friends lor.

Here is what I bought.

DSC02200 DSC02197

It is a deity of the respective chinese horoscopes… this cute little deity blesses those born in the year of Goat and Monkey. I chose a green grassy stand and also opt for gold ingots… hoping it will bless me and bring abt lots of money!!! Wahaha… nice nice ya? The shop owner is a very friendly lady and will help u to put the items together and also, gives suggestions on how to deco / combine the items together. Something new and nice to me. What do u think?
