Yes… we are back from Vietnam, HCMC. First time there for me and my Mum. Dearie went there before to work and that was like in 2007. He was still thinking that it was just last year that he went. How time flies ya? Here are some details on what we had done there!
Day 1:
Depart SG at 7+ in the morning. Met Jayne and Dearie at 5+ and after checking in, we had our breakfast at Toast Box. Mum had not eat at Toast Box before and ate Mee Siam. I ordered a toast set and wanted to share the eggs with Dearie. Guess what… he finished all my eggs! Never let me taste any at all lor. Nvm ba… I stayed contented with my Kaya toast. Jayne had her nasi lemak and after eating, we sat and chat a while, excited abt the trip and what to do over at HCMC. We slowly made our way to Boarding Gate and while waiting for boarding, I took some shots!
See how happy Dearie was eating my eggs? Forgot to leave me some to eat lor!
Mum loves the beautiful orchids along the departure hall
While waiting to board the plane, took some pics before boarding. Everyone say CheeZ!!!
After reaching HCMC, we headed over to check-in at the hotel. There wasn’t any restrictions on the check-in time and we could just go and leave our heavy luggage in the room and go shopping! Jayne got to wait for her colleague in Vietnam to pass her some stuff and while waiting at the Lobby, I took some pics again… :P
Serious Dearie… Like it more when he shows me his teeth…

Headed to have our lunch first. Ate Pho… famous one cos Clinton went there to eat before and the shop had a lot of the pics of Clinton visiting the shop when he was still the President of USA. The food was not bad and I love the fried spring roll. Yummylicious!

After lunch, started our shopping. The big market was just beside the shop and I bought some stuff at the market. Hehe… things were pretty and nice and the market was a bit like Chatuchak in Bangkok. However, place was sheltered and not that super hot. Heat was still bearable. Luckily got rain a bit and cleared some of the heat off the roads. After walking around and surveyed the place on the prices, we headed down the streets to look see other stuff. Along the way, we stopped at a place and ate ice-cream.
Nice cooling Viet Tea to chase the heat away, followed by yummy ice-creams! We had fruit ice-cream, durian ice-creams and Cocoa ice-cream. Super nice nice!
More shopping after the rain had stopped and we bought a lot of tibits! Stopped at Highland Cafe to drink coffee and rested on the nice nice sofa. Headed back to put the things in our rooms, rested a while and went to eat Mushroom Pot at night. Let the pics say the words… hehe…

Walked walked at night market and after that, headed back to rest at hotel. Only went to bed at 2+am I think. Both Dearie and me concussed on the cosy bed not long after. Yawn… Tiring but had a great day!
