Another Hazard of Smoking

Was listening to Class 95 and they were talking abt the smoking ban that NEA has imposed wef 1 Jan 2009. We all have heard of 2nd hand smoke and the dangers it bring to our health. Now... have you heard of 3rd hand smoking?
Found this article on the net. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/03/health/research/03smoke.html In fact, if you do a search, there are more articles on that.
3rd hand smoking was recently discovered to harm people! The lingering smoking smell on furniture, clothings, room, etc causes tobacco toxic to be around and those are bad for health! That is also why our brains will tell us to walk away from places with smokey smell (especially if you don't smoke at all). Those smells cause cancer risk to people and it is found that 3rd hand smoke consists of hydrogen cyanide, used in chemical weapons; butane, which is used in lighter fluid; toluene, found in paint thinners; arsenic; lead; carbon monoxide; and even polonium-210, the highly radioactive carcinogen that was used to murder former Russian spy Alexander V. Litvinenko in 2006. Eleven of the compounds are highly carcinogenic.
Well, I got nothing against smokers (cause I also have friends who smoked and somemore, my own brother as well) but with this kind of hazard coming up, it is much better to cut down or even perhaps, quit smoking and get to save money at the same time. As much as smokers try to satisfy their craving for that stick, I am sure they would not wish to harm their loved ones and friends. With this news coming out... our Big Guys might just imposed more bans?
