Here I am, waiting for Dearie to give me a ring. He said he will be calling me later. I waited and waited. No call, no sound, no picture from him. I called his HP. Didn’t want to call his house cos was afraid to wake his family. No answer too. Well, he did mentioned that he was tired. When this happens, highest possibility is that he has gone off to his dreamland, eyes couldn’t open and forgot to give me a call. Haiz… not the first time happening le but well, never mind ba. His body has given in to tiredness and it just shows he is really tired. Last time I will get upset over this but now… not really le. Let him have a good night rest ba. Response from him tomorrow morning is that I bombed his HP. Haha… :P

Anyway, planning to go on a short trip to Ho Chi Ming City during Good Friday that week. Saw on the papers that Jetstar having some promotion. I went online to check the prices. Was intending to depart on Thurs and back on Sat. Ticket price abt $218. Played with the dates and changed to depart on Wed and back on Fri instead. Reflected online - $49! Got me so so excited. Went to tell Dearie and was sharing the news with my friends. They were keen to go and were considering. I was still telling them that I never came across air-ticket that is so so super cheap. Well, take 2 days of leave and I get to go somewhere I didn’t go before. Not bad ma… Trip to HCMC will be F&E cos I have Jayne to agree to bringing me around. She has been there a few times for Biz trip and has contacts there. She dun mind going on holiday with us and so, make use of the opportunity to save on the trip and can go holiday.

Was trying to play with the booking system and guess what was reflected as the overall price? From $49, it has shot up to $131 per pax. Yes… you didn’t read me wrongly. It is $131 to and fro SG to HCMC. I was puzzled and I called the Customer Service. Boy… waited quite long for them to answer my call though. Asked and the answer given was: Promotion was on their ticket price. Total price different cos they have to pay for airport tax, insurance, etc. I thot on the papers, it was reflected that the price would include those already except the return flight. Funny system. Made me happy for nothing but well, most prob will still be going ba. Hotel expenses over there will be around $110/night, that is assuming that US rate dun go up anymore, and total amount of airfare + Hotel will be $241 per pax for a 3 days 2 nights trip to HCMC. Cheaper than Bangkok ba. Last year when me and Dearie went to BKK for 4 days 3 nights, we spent $500+ each on hotel and air ticket alone. Extra night stay but almost double the price. Wanted to tell Dearie and see what he say but… he is in his dreamland already. Tell him tomorrow then. Got to book by 1 March as the promotion was given due to the NATAS fair over the weekend. Hope we are able to go! :)

Went out with Dearie yesterday and today was with Jayne. Mum told me that the fan in my room was spoilt on Monday but the thing was… I was still using it that day and had switched it off prior to leaving the house for work. When Mum went to on it, it couldn’t move or turn anymore. Strange lor… I told Dearie and asked him to meet me and suggested to go Jurong Point. Wanted to see if NTUC has any good buy a not. Walked around and nothing caught my eye over there. Headed home and that night… slept with air-con on. I guess I didn’t have a good night sleep as I was waking up in the middle of the night to either on or off my air-con. For a moment, cold… for a moment, hot. I am too used to having the fan already. Without fan, ma chiam very xin gu lor! Dragged myself to work in the morning and was feeling moody the whole day. I wondering if it’s due to being approaching the time of the month or I didn’t get a good night sleep which made me feel that way.

Anyway, was thinking of getting the fan using Bro’s car. SMS him in the morning and no reply at all. Thot that I couldn’t be sleeping with air-con whole night long ma… what if there are more nights that I couldn’t sleep well? Thus, decided to ask if Jayne was free to go out with me tonight and accompany me to buy fan. :)

Wanted to go Suntec but I changed my mind and decided to go PS instead. At least I can compare and source for the fan at Best Denki and Carrefour. Walked around while waiting for Jayne to reach. Decided to get from Carrefour as Best Denki’s fans are much more expensive as compared. Requested for Promoters / Staff to help us at Carrefour and no one bothered to attend to us?!?!? Fainted… super bad customer service at PS lor. I never encounter such service at Suntec. Their staff saw us signalling to them but they can’t be bothered with us. They just walked away and “disappear”! Managed to catch one and they told us to look for staff in white in front to attend to us. I walked over and was talking to a guy in white and a lady in red. Started my conversation as such:

Me: Hi. I want to get a fan and can someone help me to open up the box and test the fan to see if it’s working well?

Man in white: Huh? I am not the person-in-charge.

Lady in red: I want to complain la. What time only? The promoter for that brand has already gone off. What is this?

Man in white had a puzzled look on his face. Asked the lady in red which brand was it.

Lady in red: Too much la. Not yet 9.30pm and he has already gone off. Never take care of his things. I want to complain. This is horrible. Must complain!

Man in white: Miss, we dun allow to do testing here. Anything wrong you bring back within 2 weeks to exchange.

Me: Fine… no testing but can you at least open the item and let me check the parts inside?

Man in white: We do not open the item also. No place for us to fix the item for you to test. Anything wrong, you can just bring back within 2 weeks.

Me: Huh? I do not want to test the item. I just want to check the parts and ensure that everything is ok. I dun wan to bring the item back all the way for exchange.

Lady in red: Dun worry la Miss. All our products have gone thru QC and are checked ok before putting them here and sell. Anything wrong just bring back la.

Me: You mean I can’t even open up the box to check the parts? I bought before and there was once a part of it was spoilt and I had to bring all the way back here for exchange. It’s very inconvenient and I dun stay near ok.

Man in white: That is why you have 2 weeks to bring back for exchange if anything is wrong.

Me: It’s ridiculous to make me come back all the way, carrying the heavy item if there is something wrong with it. You mean I can’t even open up the box at all to check? I am not even asking you to fix and test. I just want to check the things inside!

Lady in red: Ok ok… nvm. I open the item for u to check.

Where got like tat one? I just want to check and make sure at least the parts are ok. If really come home, fix and cannot work, too bad la. I am damn unlucky but if I can prevent and save on the trip, nothing wrong what. What is the use of emphasizing to me on their exchange policy? I have bought many items before at Carrefour and I jolly well know their exchange policy well. I am entitled for exchange / refund with no questions asked. That is my rights or should I say privilege as a customer and they were really testing my patience on the fan lor. I am prepared to take a cab home with the heavy item but I wouldn’t want to head home with the thing and to find out it cant work! I will have to go down all the way to TOWN for a stupid exchange whereby, in the first place, I could have prevented that from happening. They should have just attended to me first and leave the complaints later among themselves. Not very professional lor… The lady was putting on a face despite helping me. She was promoting another brand to me and I told her I will consider and come back. Well, I did go back but too bad la… brand not under her care. She recommended me a fan which cost $45 and I am getting a more expensive one @ $48.90. Even though she explained herself to both me and Jayne on the situation, damage done already. I am totally not impressed by their service. End up, I just got her to open the box, I peeked into it and told her forget it. I dun want to check already as the items in the box is quite tight. Anything then I no choice bring back. She sealed the box for me and told us to bring to the front to pay at the cashier. The customer service counter will help us to tie the thing up with strings.

This will be the last time I would want to buy electrical items from PS Carrefour. Both Jayne and myself… our hands are full and it’s obvious that for 2 of us to carry the heavy box to the cashier counter, might be a bit hard and tedious. The lady in red did not offer to help us bring to the cashier. I had to carry it myself, with my bag and things from Marks & Spencer and Spotlight to the counter. Jayne was already carrying her bag, her laptop and Marks & Spencer things. She told me to pass her the things I was carrying but I told her it’s ok. I could manage to bring to the counter. Her things already heavy. Where got the heart to make her carry so much? All I can say is that service sucks big time @ PS Carrefour and that is definitely not the way to do business or to treat customers. Go there spend money and get myself angry?!!? I rather head to Suntec then. Walk further but at least… more variety and selection to things.

Fixed the fan when home. Lucky fan is working fine and I am satisfied with the product. At least I can zzz better tonight but no more buying of electrical items from PS Carrefour. NO MORE… I rather go Best Denki to buy. Pay more but I get better service and like tat… my money more worth it. Haha…

Ok… getting super late. Tired. Eyes closing… my turn to dreamland. Night!
